GRIEVE.

...and we heal

I have been a licensed clinical therapist since 1997. I  have spent years helping women, men and families process grief loss, trauma, anxiety, depression and matters of the heart through my private practice "Coat of Many Colors LLC". In 2022 I received my Grief Educator Certificate led by expert David Kessler. "  After experiencing the loss of my father, grandmother, sister, brother, uncle and and many friends, I found that there wasn't a safe space for brown and black women to process our grief in an environment that truly understood us.

I created Brown Girls Grieve to speak a word of comfort to you beautiful women who are weary, discouraged, grieving or need hope and assurance your heart's can heal.

ABOUT BROWN GIRLS GRIEVE

Brown Girls Grieve was created for the moments when strength feels heavy.
For the women who show up for everyone else.
For the women who carry loss quietly.
For the women who have been told to “be strong” when what they really needed was space.

Grief does not look one way. It may be the loss of a loved one.
A relationship. Health. Identity. A dream. A season of life that ended too soon.

Yet too often, Black and Brown women are expected to move through loss without culturally affirming support — without community that understands both the weight of grief and the weight of expectation. Brown Girls Grieve exists to hold space differently.

I created Brown Girls Grieve to speak a word of comfort... to beautiful women who are weary, discouraged, grieving, or in need of hope and the assurance that their hearts can heal.

Here, your grief is not minimized.
Your tears are not rushed.
Your healing is not compared.

We gather for education, connection, and shared strength.
We heal.
We are resilient.
